Lamb/kid names

Every year before lambing/kidding I think of a list of name to name my babies! This year is the "F" year (I'm doing the alphabet.) I need more girl names as I'm only naming lambs/kids that are for breeding stock. (I don't name cull lambs/kids or market lambs.) If you think of any "F" names feel free to post them in comments.

It doesn't feel like spring when it is -20 ,but spring WILL come! I can't wait! Spring-lambs, kids, chicks, new fleeces, fresh veggies, GRASS, Easter, Easter candy, warm weather and more!!!

  1. I like Felicia and Fanny. Just how many babies are you expecting this year? That's quite a list! I'm trying to stick to "B" names for as long as possible (to go with Boulderneigh); with my tiny flock that seems do-able.

  2. I could have 80-90 total (including kids.) Breaking the number down into groups-30-34 purebred Shetlands, 6-8 Angora kids, 22-24 BFL crosses, and 22-24 NCC crosses.

I do have a longer list than I'll probably need! (I'm not naming ones that are going to market.)

  3. Fiona?

My sheep seem to thrive in this COLD weather. When I fed the rams this morning (although it is ABOVE zero now) my big Coopworth started jumping for joy. I don't think most of them ever went in their barns/shelters!

My goodness, how many are you expecting?
